Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our healthcare team. The CMA will play a crucial role in assisting patients with their medication needs, ensuring the safe and accurate administration of prescribed medications in accordance with established protocols and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong commitment to patient care, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer prescribed medications to patients as per physician orders and established protocols, ensuring that all medications are given in a safe and timely manner.
- Conduct regular monitoring of patients' vital signs and report any significant changes to the nursing staff.
- Maintain accurate documentation of medication administration, patient assessments, and other relevant information in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
- Educate patients and their families about medication regimens, potential side effects, and the importance of adherence to prescribed treatment plans.
- Assist nursing staff in preparing for patient assessments or procedures as needed.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and supportive environment for patients.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with healthcare practices and regulations.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to provide holistic care to patients.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in a healthcare-related field is a plus.
- Current certification as a Medication Aide in the state of [Insert State] and successful completion of an accredited CMA training program.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
